The History of Freeborn Academy
Freeborn Academy officially began in 2018, founded by Natasha Freeborn, Certified Trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Hypnosis.
But the real journey began long before that.
As Natasha grew up, she found many avenues which were considered ‘off limits’ to her – whether that was because of her age, gender, or lack of finances, she heard ‘No’ a lot.
But she was always a bit of a rebel.
Sweeping headlong into her 20s, Natasha still didn’t know what she wanted to be when she grew up, and followed the well-trodden path of everyone before her by finishing her higher education and going straight into the corporate world.
But things were not all sunshine and rainbows.
It was until Natasha learned about NLP in 2013 that she was able to admit that she hadn’t been happy for a long time. Between overeating and anti-depressants, her life just wasn’t working out for her but she didn’t know why.
After much late-night cramming and finishing a 10-day course, Natasha drove home from London with brighter eyes and a freer heart – she could finally do anything she wanted.
And what she wanted was to learn more about NLP – and learn she did.
At the end of 2014, Natasha certified as a Trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming and jumped straight into training people from all walks of life, from farmers to actors, home makers to CEOs, in the UK and beyond, with various companies.
It wasn’t until 2018 that Natasha founded Freeborn Academy – after walking in others’ footsteps for many more years, she finally wanted the chance to put her own stamp on the training she was doing, and make the impact she’d been dreaming of.
So, in 2018, Freeborn Academy was born, and Natasha was able to take her years of experience in coaching and training and package it in a way that felt right for her and the people who want to learn how to be the best version of themselves.
Since starting in NLP, Natasha has continued her learning and furthered her training knowledge by becoming accredited in Tracom Social Styles and most often uses this in corporate settings around the world.
